OK, so we like history...........The cabin is not named after Franklin Delano Rossevelt even though he may be worth it. It's to honor the hand hewn logs cut in the 1930's by local people using the skills they had and paid for by the WPA created during FDR's administration and the great depression. The electricity by TVA was also created at that time. In fact, TVA is partly responsible for the beautiful view due to the dams made that enlarged the Tennessee River you see below. You'll love the historic feel of the authenic log cabin. A great private getaway for 2 adults to relax and enjoy each other. Located high atop the edge of Sand Mountain. It's new but with an old flare, hardwood floors, wood ceiling with exposed timber beam rafters. It has 1 queen bedroom and bath with stacked laundry center. Kitchen has full frig, stove and coffee pot etc. TV's in both living area and bedroom with antenna/DVD/VHS player. Have fun but be extra careful of the bluff. We've erected a barrier to remind you, "do not go beyond the barrier". We want you back again.

Directions: From I-59, exit #231 (Hammondville-Henager), turn onto Hwy 117 north toward Henager, about 1/2 mile Hwy 117 continues to the right BUT DON'T TURN RIGHT, continue straight on Hwy 40 west, stay on Hwy 40 to top of the mountain at Henager and Hwy 75, cross Hwy 75 and travel about 1 mile, turn right onto Central Rd/Jackson CR 88 by Henager Baptist Church. Travel 5.2 miles to end at CR 58 in Pisgah, turn right into downtown Pisgah, for .2 miles and turn left onto CR 57, travel 2 miles to T intersection, turn left on CR 369, go .8 mile then right onto CR 365, go .8 mile more and turn left onto CR 367. Drive just a little to almost the end and look for a chert driveway on the right and "FDR" sign. turn into driveway and FDR is all way to the end. RENTAL RULES
Two night minimum required on weekends. Weekday one night rentals available for an extra $30.00 fee.
We only rent to adults 21 years or older.
NO SMOKING ALLOWED INSIDE ANY OF THE UNITS!!! If you must smoke, please do not treat the grounds as your ashtray! Properly dispose of all cigarette and cigar butts. We are allergic. If we find later you smoked inside, we will collect a $100 damage fee.
PETS OK, additional $10 per night, 15lbs.maximum.
Check-in is 4:00 pm central and check-out is 11:00 noon. Earlier check-in and check-out times may be available...just ask!
Our policy requires a 50% deposit of your total amount to confirm. The balance to be paid in full no later than one week before you arrive.
